Why do foundations students are most likely to fail in English class!

 

In general, learning any new skill in life for the first time can be rather challenging as the learners may come across certain obstacles that can affect the learning curve and make this attempt dreadful and surely the same can apply in learning a new language such as the English language. However, what most people do not realize is that they need to have persistence while tackling this matter. This article will reflect the surface on the primary difficulties that students can deal with when learning the English language and some tips that can enhance their learning skills. 

The first and most important is persistent and persistent can come in many forms and dimensions, one of that can be practice. The word ”practice” is self-explanatory and refers to the implementation of rules and methods learned to generalized the knowledge gained from learning to enrich the overall outcome of learning the English language. Failing to address this significant detail can result in reducing the benefit of learning the English language. 

Second of all, as it's fairly obvious that English is not the language of which we grew up and learned it and not even being used in daily life. Therefore it's undoubtedly difficult to learn and even to pronounce. Third of all, some learners depend on the teacher who is delivering the class. Since teaching requires a lot of skills to deliver the information clearly to the learners. Some teachers seem to miss these skills and this will effects student learning. 

Moreover, based on psychological studies which reflect the common behavior that many students face is  “shyness “  which leads to fear of mispronouncing words, all this prevents the student from speaking and participating in answering the questions in the class, they prefer not to participate in class to avoid being mistaken. Some of the students learn English as it’s only a required course and they need to pass it, later on, they neglect it as the rest of the courses. 

Finally, the English language needs the learner to be an acceptor to learn it first, by considering the most important component of language learning is to PRACTICE since learning English requires students to be interactive with their societies and eager to apply what they learned inside the classrooms.
